When one of my clients (the president of one of the largest companies in the U.S.) addressed the Jubilee Business Summit in Jerusalem marking the 50th anniversary of the state of Israel, he received standing ovations - during and after his speech. That was in contrast to the perfunctory applause accorded the speaker who preceded him - a U.S. presidential aspirant.

My primary focus is on writing clearly and persuasively (and, where appropriate, with eloquence, passion and humor) for top executives of major companies.

In working for a variety of clients, I have written 47 speeches selected for publication in the prestigious Vital Speeches of the Day. I have also written more than two dozen corporate annual reports and annual report letters, which have won a number of national awards for excellence. And I have prepared CEO-bylined articles for major publications including Aviation Week and the Financial Times of London.

A former journalist, I have written extensively about business and economic affairs for some of the world's top publications, including Business Week (as Dallas bureau chief for two years and as London bureau chief for five), the International Herald Tribune, International Management and the Washington Post. Credits include Business Week cover stories on Britain's Margaret Thatcher and financier Jacob Rothschild. I spent four years in the Middle East as senior editor of Mideast Markets.

Over the past few years, as a freelance writer, I have written essays, columns and oped articles under my own byline on economic and business issues, public speaking and other topics for a variety of publications. That includes two Wall Street Journal oped pieces in 2008.
